What a Site Visit Tells Us
The things we measure, photograph and listen for on the first afternoon at a new site.
The first visit sets the direction of a project. We try to stay at least half a day.
What we record
- Where the sun falls at different hours
- Where the noise comes from
- What the neighbours can see
- How water runs off after rain
Then we sit somewhere on the site and draw. It is the most important hour of the whole project.
